V Recordings proudly presents the next chapter: Solar Flares Vol. 2. This release brings even more heat to the dancefloor and we're excited to showcase some artists whose productions we've been loving over the years and bring them on board to the label.

Solar Flares Vol. 2 kicks off with "Dreamstate" by Sweetpea & Crystal Clear, a track that seamlessly blends ethereal atmospheres with rolling bass. Sweetpea, a formidable presence in the drum and bass scene, has been making waves with her fierce, meticulously curated DJ sets and genre-spanning productions. Hailing from London, she cut her teeth on pirate radio and has since made it all the way to the DNB show on BBC Radio 1. Sweetpea's work with EQ50 highlights her commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity in the scene. As a producer, she has made a name for herself with releases on top-tier labels like Sofa Sound and AKO Beatz. Crystal Clear made his mark in the early 2000s as part of DJ Hype's Playaz camp. Known for his ability to craft dancefloor anthems, Crystal Clear's return to the scene after a decade-long hiatus has been highly anticipated. His recent releases, including the 'Full Circle EP' on Sofa Sound, have reaffirmed his status as a heavyweight in the genre.

Next up is Lynx with "Fiyah", a track that lives up to its name with its dubwise production and stepping beats. Lynx, a seasoned producer with a career spanning over two decades, is known for his innovative approach to drum and bass. His discography includes releases on legendary labels like Soul-r, Creative Source, and Hospital Records. His ability to blend funky rhythms with forward-thinking production has been his trademark since day dot.

Ella Sopp, Fingers and Philth team up with multi-instrumentalist Christopher Rahman on "Tell U No", blending soulful vocals with razor-sharp production to create a tune packed full of jungle vibes and techy basslines. Ella Sopp's background in genres ranging from D&B to blues and soul, has been a versatile force in the industry since 2007. Her collaborations with drum and bass heavyweights like DJ Marky and Hyper-On Experience have solidified her reputation as a skilled vocalist. Philth, known for his deep, cinematic production style, has been a staple within Dispatch Recordings and is recognized for his ability to blend the emotive with the dancefloor-ready. Fingers is a lifelong junglist and close friend of Philth, making a big splash with his first steps into production landing on V and Dread Recordings.

Rounding out the EP is Phentix with "Exit", a track that delves into darker, more minimal territory. Hailing from Austria, Phentix has carved out a niche in the drum and bass world with his precise, tech-driven sound. As a co-founder of the Sound In Motion crew, he has been instrumental in promoting the genre in Austria, bringing top-tier talent to local stages and pushing the sound forward with his own cutting-edge productions.

Solar Flares Vol. 2 continues in the footsteps of Volume 1, pushing the label's boundaries and introducing fresh faces to the V Recordings family.
